Today, take refuge in the Lord. You will never be put to shame. The Lord, will deliver you in His righteousness. Thank you Lord Jesus, that you heard my prayers. Lord, since my faith can't be seen tangibly and my trust is only what I say it is when I proclaim it, it is my prayer for 2010 that I can proclaim my faith and others can see and hear it and the same for my trust in God. I am thankful to You, Lord Jesus, that you come in quickly to my rescue. You are my rock of refuge. Free me from the trap of obesity that is set for me. Into your hands I commit my spirit. Save the world from useless idols.

I rejoice in Your love for You saw my affliction and You healed me. You, Heavenly Father,
have set my feet in a spacious place. How great is your goodness which you have stored up
for those who fear you.

Love the Lord all your saints. The Lord preserves the faithful, but the proud He pays back in full. Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Bless are they whose ways are blameless; blessed are they who keep God's statutes. Your place in the structure of the church right with Christ - the capstone.

How is a young man or woman keep their ways pure? By living according to God's Word. I have hidden Your Word in my heart, O Lord, that I might not sin against You.

May your unfailing love come to me. Your salvation comes according to your promises. I love you commands and I meditate on them daily. Your promise preserves my life. I seek your face that I might enter into a covenant with You, Lord Jesus. Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I believe in Your commands.

Here's your Biblescope for, yep, yesterday! Sorry it's late. Read it anyway! Thank you, Lord God. You have lifted me out of the depths and I called to you and you healed me. I have been saved from the grave and from going down to the pit.

Sing to the Lord His praise. Sing and praise His name. God stays angry for a minute but His favor lasts a lifetime. Crying may last a night however, His honor lasts a lifetime. When God favors you, you'll feel secure and will not be shaken. Be careful of pride, wealth, power, and fame. These abilities can pull you away from God.

Hear my prayer, O God, and be merciful to me, Lord Jesus. Turn my mourning into dancing. Thank you for responding to my prayers.

When I felt insecure, I also felt shaken. However, I still feel your favor in spite the insecurity. Be merciful to me today & be my help, Lord Jesus.You clothed me with joy and you took my sorrow and turned it into dancing.

If you feel God has rejected you and God is angry, pray for His restoration. When the land is fractured by quakes this leads to desperate times.

Save & deliver us with your right hand as we raise a banner to be unfurled against the bow.

God has spoken from His sanctuary.He knows each nation, its end and what blessings are passed out to each one. In God we have protection and He loves Israel and the people He's called to be His nation. Thank you God for giving us aid against the enemies.

God you have always been here from before the earth was shaped from everlasting to everlasting. God's clock has nothing to do with our 24hours/7days. A thousand years to Him is as a day is to us.

Without repentance, we would be swept up in the sleep of death; You, O Lord, have us set our sins before you; our secret sins in the light of His presence. Who knows the power of God's wrath against us and our sin?

If you make that Lord most high your God, you will see your sins from His perspective. Teach us to count the number of our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Have mercy on us in the morning and compassion through out the day.

When distress overwhelms you, call on the Lord and He will answer you. It could be answers that feel like warrior's arrows.

Praise the Lord in His sanctuary, send praise to the Heavens, and praise God for His acts of power, and surpassing greatness. Sing to Him, praise Him with the instruments. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Today, the Lord will hear your prayer not leading you to a lie but away from it; pray to not be dragged away with the wicked. Instead turn them away and repay them with the same malice; we'll never know malice from the Lord but only grace & mercy. We are anointed and never will fear death. The Lord is the strength of His people. He is a fortress of salvation and our shield forever and ever.

Give all praise to God & sing to Him a new song. Praise for the Lord comes from the sun, moon, and stars. Praise Him in the storms. Praise God for He is our creator.

My heart trusts in the strength that is the Lord's. As our shepherd, He will carry us forever.

Evil people don't understand God's ways of justice but those who love the Lord understand completely. When justice rises against evil, evil prevails but, those who mislead righteousness will fall into their own trap.
The righteous when led down a wrong path are saved because of their love for the Heavenly Father.

Everyone of us make mistakes. Those who learn from their mistakes admit to God their human frailty. If we ignore warnings about sinful behavior and harden our hearts so as not to behave and respond to God's commands it is because one responds best out of rebellion.

Trust in the Lord and prosper. Walk in wisdom and you will be kept safe. Don't turn from the need of the poor but give to them and you will not lack anything. However, if you ignore their need you will have many curses to deal with on your own.

Have you ever felt you were born to lead? Think about these leadership characteristics: You are

• diligent in details;
• trustworthy; no gossip or back biting;
• live by & expect others to maintain a high level of integrity;;
• listen, then respond after prayerful consideration; listen to both sides of dispute;
  
• practice and utilize good listening skills; and
  
• handle adversity, praise, & glory equally

Now think on these wrong leadership skills and pray to have them replaced by God if they hinder your service to Him and the people you contact everyday: You:

• honor those who don't need recognition; they don't pay attention to business's mission statement;
• recognize wickedness in those in positions of leadership, pray for that person to have a conscience & become aware of the destruction they may be causing;
• if you have a wicked ruler in place over the people, pray and appeal to God to "turn the king's heart" toward the people, his or her wickedness is dangerous to the people;
• pray for those ruled over by an unfair and selfish ruler;
• when wicked people rule, the people despair at the abuse & broken promises by the wicked and unfair government;
• a wicked & selfish ruler has wicked officials, today they are called Czars.

Today, when you face something or someone causing you fear or anxiety, remember this:
1. Jesus is your light and salvation;
2. He is your stronghold; and
3. The Word promises help & hope to get through any situation using your faith added to that of Christ.

Conquering fear can be possible with the light of salvation applied to the fear of what we can't see because fear covered by darkness can be very scary, however, light that shines on the cover of darkness disspells its power. Run to Jesus, the Light of the world. If fear continues to the point of anxiety and despair, hold tight to Jesus, your stronghold where you can survive the threat and maintain a fortified fortress. Find a prayer partner you can call when you need immediate help--someone to talk to right away. An e-mail pen pal works well too.

Ask God to let you dwell in His presence then make plans for things that remind you that God is near.
1. Read His Word daily as often as you can but at least once. He prefers we seek Him in the morning when we're rested and preparing to start the day.
2. Pray specifically for your needs that seem to be causing your anxiety. Listen to the Lord with your spiritual ears and an open heart and make a note of the instructions you received from Him.
3. Remember, having someone to talk to about your fear takes its power away or weakens it so you can go on with your life.
4. Keep a journal with the verses that have helped you or the prayers you have been using to diminish fear.

Using uplifting and/or worship music puts Satan and his cohorts on the run. One usually finds a sense of feeling better just from singing or dancing or both. Serve others with needs like the sick, widowed, children needing a mentor, a neighbor, or even a friend. Paint your bedroom. Take more walks. Get a walking partner.

Take heart. Be strong and confident. Work on your confidence by keeping the Word in your heart and mind. You are a child of the King of the universe. You are Jesus' brother or sister by adoption. Read Galatians 2:20. Write down 3 reasons why you can be strong, confident, and unafraid. Keep them in your pocket and take them out and read them when you feel anxious. Memorize them and other uplifting scriptures like Psalm 91, Psalm 23, & John 10:10. John 10:10 says Satan came to kill, steal, and destroy. However, Jesus came that we might live an abundant life. This means fear has no place in our lives when Jesus died that we might have life.

Friends are good for one's sense of confidence. They're like perfume and fresh air, they bring joy to your heart and earnest counsel when you need words of direction and/or encouragement.

God has made a way for you to have a blameless life. This doesn't mean you are sinless. Humans live in a condemned world in condemned flesh that makes it impossible to live sinless, however, we can live blameless because of God's mercy through His sinless Son. If you sin, don't let Satan tell you a lie and make you feel you can't go to God over that sin. That's the reason you have joy! You are and will be forever blameless thanks to Jesus taking upon His precious, sinless body all and every sin of all humanity.

If you're carrying sin around ashamed and sure God's mad at you about that sin, He is not. All He wants is for you to admit to Him you've sinned with no conditions on the action of your confession. God's will for you life, today, is to remember you can always walk in His truth--always. Love God's place where He lives and praise Him from your heart just as David did. From your blameless heart, allow your praise to turn into dancing and singing.

Trust God, today, when you face a situation that is fearful. Remember, mortal man can do nothing to you--nothing, for your heavenly Father is your protection. This insures to you that God is for you.

Your vows to God are evident and true; prevent losing your rights to be in the presence of God so you can live in His blessed light.

Stay away from fools. Don't argue with them. They become 'wise' in their own eyes. Don't hurt your friends by dissing them and then saying, "I'm just kidding!" Don't argue and gossip. Slander turns to a hot flaming arrow! If you don't gossip, the quarreling dies down. Those who flatter you to your face harbor deceit for you in their hearts. For unto us is born this day the Savior of the world.

Today, meditate on things that can become your God--money, success, prestige, lust--things you give more of yourself to than you give to God. Our greatest enemy, Lucifer, the angel of darkness, came to kill, steal, and destroy God's creation. Meditate on that awhile.

Lift your soul up in meditation today and trust the Lord for His instruction.
Your hope is in this Christ-child who will return to claim His church, His bride. Pray for God's mercy and love to save you from the enemy, Satan, the father of lies. God will guide you and teach you His ways. Listen! Pray. Read His Word! How do you receive God's instruction?

Today, pay special attention to something that has been neglected in your life for awhile. Give it all your attention at sometime today. You will find a special sense of thankfulness to God as He blesses you. You will want to sing worship to Him, journal to Him or spend time in prayer for your needs.

Remember, how much God values honesty so you'll be less likely to lie or give false testimony. Dishonest communication hinders relationships. Don't put your relationships in danger because of dishonesty. Repent if needed so you can repair any problems with others especially God. He doesn't expect anything in return; no penitent behavior is needed for forgiveness, only a contrite and repentant heart.

Let your prayer be "save me, O God" and vindicate me with Your might. Take heart in knowing God is your help and the one who sustains you.

Give God a free will offering by praising Him freely thanking Him for His goodness & saving you from your troubles.

Note: A free will offering is one given to God or others with no expectations except the comfort of knowing you are forgiven.

Today, the Lord has gone ahead of you to make this day a day to remember. Be confident about whatever you face this day. God doesn't make your day hectic but He will lead you by peaceful streams to refresh you and restore you. Remember, you have nothing fear. God is always with you. If and when you sin, so can you confess, and be forgiven. Don't let Satan take that peace from you. Even if the sin has been blatant or rebellious, it still can and forever be forgiven and removed as far as the east is from the west.

As your day may becoming heavy and filled with unfinished tasks, God will anoint you with His best oil and prepare a table for you even in front of your enemies. Take pride in your relationship with a Holy Father.

Praise the Lord in thanksgiving at the end of the day. Thank Him for His love sent to us in the person of Christ Jesus. Thank Him for forgiveness and mercy we have every new morning. They are the gifts we don't have to wait until Christmas Day to open. They are a given!

When you are down and discouraged remember the promise that He will give you the desire of your heart. You cannot be shaken because of the undying love of the Lord. Whatever you have to face today, God will bestow on you rich, loving blessings from Him.

If you feel overwhelmed, God's wisdom is your best weapon. Keep it ever close to your heart.
Being overwhelmed can be fleeting if you keep your eyes on the Lord who gives you favor and stability, these things cannot be taken from you. Today, sing in victory and with love for God's might.

Mercy, forgiveness, and cleansing are available at a moment's notice. Mercy is new in the morning and God hands it to you like a clean slate. Don't be afraid to ask for forgiveness as soon as you feel it necessary or are convicted of what you might be doing wrong. Christ is interceding for you twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, even on the Sabbath.

If your natural tendency is to blame others for your shortcomings, ask for forgiveness and make amends if led by the Holy Spirit. Allow yourself to be broken in spirit in front of your Heavenly Father and He will listen to your confession, He will put your heart back together and make it stronger.

Renew your strength with song and praise the Lord with all your heart. Celebrate who you are in Christ.

Today, is a day for blessing others so you can be blessed in return. When you cry out in distress the God of Jacob will protect you. If you have been planning something like a project at work or redecorating your home, ask God and He will give you the desire of your heart. As you pray today, that God will hear you and your needs, He will increase your joy and bring victory to you and those you love.

God calls you to Himself from the rising of the sun until it sets. He knows your needs but He's waiting for you to ask for the help you need. Are you suffering or going through despair maybe feeling overwhelmed? God will send help from His sanctuary. Never give up on your hope.

If there is some reason you need restoration, God is waiting for your repentance and thanksgiving. Don't be ashamed or scared just ask! Talk to your Daddy God. Stay with Him in His presence until His face shines upon you and gives you peace. Take hope in your salvation and your mercy that is new every morning. Know for sure that you are not straddling the fence about your relationship with Jesus. He was a great teacher but that was not why He came to us. Know, today, December 20th, 2009 that Jesus is one part of the God-head. He is God just like El Shaddai, Father God, is the second part of the trinity. And the Holy Spirit is the third part of the trinity.

Remember me today when I am in trouble and need help to fight the enemy. God you are my God. Hear my cry for mercy and be my shield and defender. You, O Lord, will secure justice for me, Father, and take care of me when I'm needy and want Your protection. I will live upright for you Lord God. In Jesus' name...let it be.

Take Note (This is not a Biblescope) Just Thoughts

These verses caused me to break down and cry like I've not done in a long time. The first thing that made me take a deep breath was the Psalmist's thoughts from verses 40-46. Have you ever wondered why bad things happen to good people? Seriously! There are days when my pain is so great and I plead and cry out for God to heal me but he doesn't. From Psalm 106 & 107 there are some interesting thoughts that make for great meditation.

Trouble comes to people to make them humble. Hum! I'm the least humble person I know. Suffering draws us back to God and away from the secular allurements of the world. It seems when I need help God is so far from me. I'm also suppose to revive my prayers and their true purpose--to help others with needs. Suffering reminds me that God is the only one that can help me when I can't help myself. And when I can't take any more, I submit my will to Christ's and feel His compassion wash over me like a strong, warm wave at the beach.

When in distress, I wander and get lost until I call out from despair and sorrow in my soul. When I became foolish and rebellious, no matter how ungodly I acted, God breaks through my suffering and helps me.

God has done so much for me in 57 years. Some people don't believe one should talk about their illnesses as if it gives the disease or illness power. God wants us to stand and when we've done all else stand even if there's fear. Fear should not prevent us from facing sickness, disease, or even death. That's not so. I do believe certain people are chosen to suffer more than others as a testimony to God's compassion and power for our well-being. This sounds simple and maybe even foolish but I'll either be completely healed in present eternity or after death in the presence of God in future eternity. Healing now or healing in God's presence, there will be healing for Christians believing in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The numbers in parentheses are counting the number of blessings and trials I've faced.

The life-threatening instances (1)began at birth. My mother was dying from a difficult 3-day labor. The doctor told my family he might be able to save me but not my mother. Divine intervention brought both of us through preparing my parents for another life-threatening illness. (2)When I was 3 years old, in February 1955, I contracted poliomyelitis that led to encephalitis and a 7-day coma with relentless unrelenting fever as high as 105.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The doctors told my family there was nothing else they could do. They should do what was necessary for my "passing." On the 8th day I woke up and when I started the first grade, I went to school on my own. No crutches, no wheel chair! I walked to school and have been walking well until 1988. My family spent much time in prayer and faith, and this and God's mercy saved my life.

(3)My parents fought, Dad left for days and didn't even come home to get groceries. My Mom worked as a seamstress so she brought work home with her. When my father's alcoholism took great hold on him it affected the rests of us even now into adulthood. I left home to get away from alcoholism and the abuse that hurts so much. I could handle the physical pain but the emotional pain was the worst.

(4) I got married when I was 18 and had my first child when I was 19. This was an amazing moment to see the precious little life I'd carried for nine months. She became my very existence. We had fun everyday. She always woke up cheerful and happy. My second child was born a little more than 2 years later. When she was born my husband walked in one day and said, "I want a divorce. I don't love you. I never did." This almost did me in. The divorce end only after 4 years.

I met a wonderful man who told me he fell in love with me the minute he saw me and we were married 1 1/2 months later. We have been married 33 years working on 34 years. And I am blessed. He takes care of my every need. (5)You see, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an incurable debilitating disease--a chronic progressive entity. I also became depressed. I was 38 years old and I thought my life was over. I finally got a hold of the depression and went back to college. I got my MED in Technological Studies. I started teaching high school and I loved it! My fourth year teaching I developed Type II Diabetes and could no long stand on feet because of diabetic ulcers. I tried teaching at the college level in my mobility scooter for 3 years part-time but the stress was too much so, I've retired on disability.

In March of 2009, I thought I was going home to be with the Lord. I was admitted to St. Mary's Hospital, in a semi-comatose state that worsened. I was in kidney failure, had encephalitis, had pneumonia and a collapsed lung, had septicemia (strep infection in the blood), fever of 104.0 degrees Fahrenheit. There were other things wrong but I think you might get the picture. I was in the hospital for 1 month before going home. But I did go home. I'm taking care of my kidneys and my diabetic ulcers. And I'm praising God for all He's done for me.

Though you make promises that will sometimes be hard to keep, you have the Lord Jesus to help you keep those promises. Call to the Lord, and you know He will answer you. In doing this, Heavenly Father, You show me the wonder of Your great love and You will save those who take refuge in You. Praise God today, with a shout of joy from deep in your heart. We have been chosen to be His children and the bride to His Son Jesus. God loves songs of praise and adoration from His people. Our songs should be filled with thankfulness and psalms of purest praise.

If today you feel God isn't listening, His favor is gone or His unfailing love has vanished, search your heart for the song of praise and reverence. Today is a good day for meditation on God's mighty works. There is so much to thank God for that we can't express all of these things. However, we can close our eyes and meditate on Him and Him alone.

Allow your thirst to be taken care of by your obedience in seeking God. If you're feeling depressed, meditate on God's goodness. Make a list, pray over that list; remember, as you focus on God's abilities to answer you and lift you up from a depressed state of mind, put your hope in Christ. For by day, God shows His love to me and at night He sings me to sleep. There is no reason for you to doubt His love for you. You will praise Him and adore Him forever.

Today, it is not in your character to run from trouble. You find yourself having to stand up to those who think little of you. Don't lose your temper with them. Silence is your best weapon. God sees your righteousness in Christ and He has mercy on you.

Because of all you do for those in need, the Lord will protect you and deliver you in times of trouble. The Lord will sustain you while you are sick and restore you from all sickness. God's mercy is sufficient for your forgiveness. God will raise you up that He may repay your enemies. Remember to keep your integrity intact and your Lord will set you in His presence forever.

Be careful when you get paid.Do not take more than what is yours. Be humble and wisdom will be yours. Wealth cannot save you from death but righteousness can. It will deliver you but judgment will fall on the wicked.

Stay away from gossip. When people engage in talking about others, stay way from them. Be trustworthy and take care of those that are victim to gossip. Being kindhearted will gain you respect. God will delight in you when you are blameless.

Be generous to those who need your help. A generous person will prosper; he refreshes others and there is refreshing for him and/or herself. Tell others about God's Son and His gift to us is salvation and he or she will be saved.
